ALT Community Call: Rod Paley on on blended learning resources - collecting from anywhere, sharing with anyone

ALT is piloting a monthly 'Community Call' where we speak to ALT Members about their work. For next call we speak with Rod Paley Managing Director of Xtensis Ltd. Xtensis are the company behind XtLearn.net, an online platform for gathering and organising educational resources into visually engaging collections which can be shared easily on different platforms. It sits in the space between resources (whether hosted on XtLearn; sourced externally on the web; or created in-house by teachers) and wherever interaction takes place with students (VLE, web-site, social media, or simply via e-mail).

In this call we speak to Rod his work with learning resources and supporting communities in the creation and distribution of materials. This includes the recent announcement that XtLearn is hosting all the resources from the newly established Blended Learning Consortium http://blc-fe.org/ as well as saving resources like NLN and Intute which were going to be lost from the sector following removal of funding.

We will be hosting this session as a Google Hangout On Air and you can watch the call from the Google+ page, YouTube Channel or embedded in this page below. You can ask questions during the call from the Google+ page or via Twitter by tagging it #altc
