1.2 ALT Annual Survey now open for responses

The Annual Survey engages ALT Members and the community to help map the ALT strategy to professional practice to better meet the needs of and represent our members; show how Learning Technology is used across sectors; and understand current and future practice.

1.3 Open Education and OER - A guide and call to action for policy makers

ALT has produced this call to action to highlight to education policy makers and professionals how Open Education and OER can expand inclusive and equitable access to education and lifelong learning, widen participation, and create new opportunities for the next generation of teachers and learners, preparing them to become fully engaged digital citizens.

1.7 Join the 2018 Annual Conference Committee

The 2018 Annual Conference takes place in Manchester, 11-13 September 2018. This year we are offering all volunteers the chance to sign up for what they are particularly interested in helping with in the run-up to and during ALT’s Annual Conference. It’s our 25th year and we want the Annual Conference to reflect our diverse and growing community across the UK and beyond.

2.3 Call for Proposals: Digifest 2018 - Harnessing the power of edtech: thriving in a digital world, Birmingham, 6 - 7 Mar 2018

Jisc's Digifest 2018 explores how we can use the power of digital to enable better learning and teaching, engage learners and achieve better outcomes.Session proposals are welcomed from experts across the education sector. The programme will be eclectic, innovative, and provocative.The strand on teaching and learning excellence in a digital age offers huge scope for ALT members to share insights and best practice. 2.4 Extended Call for Proposals: iHE 2018: Enhancing Student Engagement Through Mobile Technologies, Bath, 10-13 April

iHE 2018 is the third international conference for researchers, academics and leading industry professionals working with iPads and mobile technologies. Discuss enhancing the educational experience, share new ideas with experts, and engage with technologies to create new learning spaces. Accepting short, 2,000-3,000 word, papers or longer if you wish with a 20 minute presentation. Proceedings published open-access in the Future of Learning book series by IOS Press.

2.6 Call for research participation: Networking to build capacity for teaching with technologies

Ashwini Datt, University of Auckland, calls for participants in doctoral research (Ethics approved - reference number 018812). The research investigates the extent to which networked experiences support elearning capacity development. You can complete an anonymous questionnaire (15-20 minutes of your time) and/or volunteer for a semi-structured interview (about an hour).
