The University of Edinburgh Digital Footprint MOOC focuses on the different dimensions of a digital footprint, including developing an effective online presence, managing privacy online, creating opportunities for networking, and balancing and managing professional and personal presences (eprofessionalism). By the end of the course, participants should feel confident at managing a digital footprint that works for them, whether it’s small and private, or a more effective and impactful presence. The course is free, with a certificate available at £39.
This book explores the interaction between internet culture (the culture of openness) and the bureaucratic culture of secrecy. The book will use various case studies waround “Open Government” policies to explore its central research question: Is the cultural code “openness/closeness” penetrating the core of the bureaucratic culture? Professionals and practitioners in e-learning, e-government, e-health and various other sectors are encouraged to submit chapters relating to their own experiences of the concepts of “openness/closeness”.
Deadline for proposal submissions: 15 May 2017
Proposals are invited for the forthcoming book Agile Education, Lean Learning, to be published by Springer. The initial proposal has been formally reviewed and accepted for further development by the publisher; the editors are now seeking submissions from potential authors.
At this stage, only suggested chapter titles, details of authors and a brief outline of the proposed content of the chapter (approx. 200 words) are required.
Deadline for abstract registration: 31 May 2017
