Our Call for Proposals for the Annual Conference 2020 is still open. The ALT Annual Conference will take place on 9-11 September 2020, at Imperial College, London. The ALT Learning Technologist of the Year Awards are still open for entries, and close on 25 March 2020. The awards celebrate and reward excellence in Learning Technology, and categories cover Individuals, Teams, and Research Projects. We are taking action to support ALT Members who are taking part in forthcoming strike action in the UK. University and College Union (UCU) announced strike action on pensions and on pay and working conditions, from Thursday 20 February - Friday 12 March. This conference explores how visual learning technologies (e.g. digital comics, video, virtual and augmented reality) can contribute to addressing challenges in teaching, learning and inclusion. The conference includes a workshop on comics for inclusive English language learning and showcases an new mobile app and open educational resources. You are invited to submit a 300-word abstract by 13th March to conference@ciell.euÂ
Registration is FREE for all participants. Accommodation will be provided to participants from outside Greece (subject to approval on a first come, first served basis as numbers are limited). This conference is hosted by the CIELL consortium, co-funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Union. We are carrying out a survey on the use of digital comics in teaching and learning. This will involve answering 16 questions and you can skip any that you do not want to answer. It should take about 10-15 minutes. This survey from the CIELL consortium (http://ciell.eu) is co-funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Union. We are a consortium of learning technologists, educational researchers and artists who are developing open educational resources for teaching.
